Pros

The pay, the office space, and the other employees are all things that keep me here. It's not too big so I see executives and upper level employees fairly regularly and I feel like a valuable member of a team, not just a nameless cog in a machine.

Cons

It's merchant services. Sometimes the work is easy and boring, and sometimes there are fires that need to be put out. The fires are never that fun.

Pros

I think it is a fantastic company to work for. They really try to take care of their employees. Health insurance is covered by them at 100%. They encourage work life balance. Their is a ton of support. All employees help each other out. There is the great culture they have created within the workforce.

Cons

The deductible is higher on the insurance, but you will find this issue with smaller companies. It is a smaller company that is growing.

Pros

Highly flexible hours. Management encourages a healthy work-life balance. Private offices generally given out to new employees. Developers are given a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. Small perks like weekly lunch and a rec room. Employees and management are friendly. Management comes from a technical background and run the company responsibly and ethically. A large variety of projects and a chance to write software that directly affects the company's growth and success. Exciting projects on the horizon.

Cons

Only two weeks of PTO. Company can be slow to update to newest technology. Engineering team is not very diverse. Management being too busy can slow things down or cause things to be uncoordinated. Offices might be moved to a high-traffic location.

Pros

Management that cares about employees, snacks, cool offices (ping pong tables, pickle ball court, video games, everyone has a private office), great insurance benefits. Managers don't micromanage and communicate well. People are interested in each others' well-being and aren't competitive.

Cons

No 401k yet, but they're working on it.

Pros

The office is really nice and most employees have either a private office or a window or both. The people are all great to work with and the work itself is really engaging. There's also great work-life balance.

Cons

There is a general lack of clarity in regards to what the various work requirements are. Everyone has the vision for the overall goal, but lacks the direction on how that goal will ultimately be achieved. As a result of this, it feels like we're constantly putting out "fires".

Pros

Nice office space Private offices New employee swag

Cons

This company was an absolute terror to work for. They were incredibly slow to fulfill promises, and placed incredibly incompetent and new management in place. Management was not involved in day-to-day operations, and there are no processes in place to track/grade performance, but employees were held to mysterious "metrics". When I challenged management, my immediate manager felt threatened and chose to terminate my employment instead of working with me through our issues. Multiple times I was promised various things, and due to upper management miscommunication I had to wait months before what I was promised was finally delivered. They were extremely strict with schedules and time off, with no wiggle room for employees. After resolving my personal patterns of tardiness, months later they still brought it up as a reason for my termination. I was completely blindsided, but ultimately relieved to finally be separated from this horribly managed company. They spend so much more money on other departments (engineering), and it is so apparent in the workplace. Lunch was catered on thursdays for those other departments, and then leftovers were placed in the common space right next to our offices for us to sort through the scraps. We were given two 10-minute breaks which was our only time we were allowed to socialize with other departments, until eventually they added a weekly huddle with our immediate team members to socialize for a few minutes. Because we each had our own offices, this job was extremely isolating and mind-numbing. There was also an incredible amount of turnover, my team of 4 had about 5 new hires in my year and a half I was employed there. Could not warn people enough about joining this horribly mis-managed company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We will use it to get better. Here are a few reflections on your input: 1. Office culture: Private offices are not for everyone, but we think most everybody at the company really likes being able to close their door and have their own private space. We are proud of having private offices for everyone, even entry-level roles, rather than cubicles or open desks. 2. Management involvement: Each manager is deeply involved in the ongoing activities of their team. Every manager performs both management functions and the work of the staff. 3. Being on time: Certain support roles at the company require being ready at a certain time to provide support to clients who are contacting us. In those cases, we are strict about showing up on time because it is essential to doing the work and also shows respect to coworkers. 4. Breaks: Some support roles have breaks that are more structured because of the nature of the work-you have to be in place to help people at the right moment. Regardless, everybody takes advantage of breaks and time off for lunch during a given day's work. 5. Food, leftovers: Different departments have different activities in place, with some having breakfast food and/or snacks at weekly status meetings, and others having weekly lunches. We let managers decide. We also have regular all-company snacks and treats. We will make sure your feedback is directed to the appropriate departments so that we can continue to improve the areas you've highlighted. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. Pros

They try really hard to be fair with their employees. Health insurance was covered at 100% by the company. It is a Monday-Friday job with banking hours. Great environment. I really enjoyed the management team, they care about their employees.

Cons

Smaller company when I was there there was no 401K.
