Great facility loving environment small-town feel. Good benefits great lunch options and free employee parking along with some wonderful perks throughout the Metroplex because hospital employees get a lot of discounts.
Cons
The " good old boy " system is alive and well at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital! Unfair treatment to employees in these departments security, environmental services, medical records, grounds keeping. Most department heads have been with the hospital for ages and are stuck in the past with ways of operations relating to work ethic. In my experience if you vibrant, ambitious and are between the ages of 25 - 38 you will be met with resistance and possibly seen as a threat. I say this because the technology inside of the hospital in most departments are outdated and when a young vibrant individual steps in showing intelligence /new ideas unfortunately it's not taken well among the older staff members in a majority of cases.
