Pros

I have had a great experience recruiting for Scale Media. The company is filled with talented, driven people who are passionate about building great brands and moving the business forward. Everyone I partnered with was collaborative, approachable, and genuinely invested in finding the right people for the team. One of my favorite aspects of the role was the variety. I had the opportunity to recruit across creative, growth, product, eCommerce, and marketing, which made every day interesting and gave me exposure to a wide range of exceptional talent. The environment is fast-paced, which creates plenty of opportunities to learn, contribute, and make an impact. If you enjoy taking ownership, collaborating with smart people, and helping build high-performing teams, this is a great place to do it.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with evolving priorities Recruiting processes are still maturing Frequent changes require flexibility and adaptability

Pros

I've really enjoyed working here. Even though we're fully remote, it doesn't feel disconnected—people are approachable, willing to help, and genuinely want each other to succeed. Leadership puts a lot of effort into helping employees grow, whether that's through new opportunities, feedback, or encouraging people to take on new challenges. I also like that the company isn't afraid to try new technology and improve the way we work. It keeps things interesting and makes it easier to focus on work that actually adds value instead of getting stuck doing repetitive tasks.

Cons

It's a growing company, so not every process is perfect yet. Things can change quickly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean you have to be comfortable with a little flexibility.

Constant pivots, low morale, no growth path

Pros

Remote flexibility, generous PTO and mental health days, small monthly WFH stipend

Cons

The company is constantly shifting direction without a clear plan, and executive leadership never really seems aligned. There have been repeated layoffs, no real sense of where the business is going, and a lot of energy poured into AI without it feeling tied to a viable strategy. Morale is dead. People are basically moving through the day like zombies, nodding along to half baked, ChatGPT written strategies because everyone is afraid of ending up in the next round of layoffs. Growth is beyond limited, it’s virtually nonexistent. Roles can and probably will change significantly from what you were hired to do, and it’s very easy to end up owning outcomes without having the authority, context, or support to actually drive them.
