-Management at the Santa Fe Reporter is unprofessional, holds grudges to an embarrassingly personal degree, and drinks alcohol and smokes weed in the office (which might sound cool, and it kind of is at first, but gets old very quickly).
-There's no HR department at the Santa Fe Reporter, and there's not a safe space to go if you feel harassed or unfairly treated.
-Management at the Santa Fe Reporter woefully incapable of inward reflection and several literally cried when they were called out for their racism.
-Management at the Santa Fe Reporter do this thing where they decide to fire somebody because they're too cheap to pay (already rock bottom) reporters' salaries, but they'll force you to resign so that they're off the hook from paying you unemployment benefits. WATCH OUT FOR THIS! If they're trying to force you out, get it in writing, so that you can be fairly compensated for being suddenly let go.
-Editing ability at the Santa Fe Reporter is hit or miss. At some point you'll definitely hit a plateau and that's when it'll be time to go.
-Management at the Santa Fe Reporter likes to say that the health of the company is good, but if this were true, people would be getting raises.
