Like Steroids for Your Résumé

Pros

SUPPLY.com is a company that's at the crossroads of a new startup and an established company. As an employee, you get the best of both worlds - job security and benefits (health insurance, 401k, etc.), but also the chance to wear multiple hats and make a big impact. Few companies give young people the opportunity to own projects and processes like they do here. Your success at the company is wholly dependent upon you, but if you "crush it," you'll be rewarded with even more responsibility and the opportunity to broaden your skill set. It's like steroids for your résumé.

Cons

Like any rapidly-growing company, there can be times that feel chaotic. If you're someone who wants a job where every week is the same, this isn't the right place for you.

A Supportive, Quickly Growing Company with Lots of Opportunity

Pros

I've been working at SUPPLY for nearly four years. It's been my first "real job" out of college, and honestly, I'm not sure I could have picked a better place to get my feet wet in the business world. Everyone here is incredibly supportive and willing to help each other out. We don't have any of the typical "office politics" that plague so many other workplaces. My managers and I have had regular meetings to talk about team vision, company vision, and what I want to learn and do personally. I came in with a very minimal amount of experience but a huge appetite for learning new skills and working hard, and I've been rewarded for my can-do attitude. Quick highlights: - Fantastic managers - Lots of opportunity for growth - Fun, supportive culture - Company has a vision and each person is actively working to achieve it - Bidet seats on the toilets - Plenty of free lunches!

Cons

We move really quickly - we're used to being a small, agile website and we need people who are smart and hard working to jump on board and immediately start being helpful. Our onboarding curve can be rough, especially if you're jumping on to a team that is in the middle of a huge initiative or if you're fresh out of school. We do our best to be really helpful and interactive with the training, but it can be overwhelming. Just remember that your team is here to support you just as much as you're here to support them, and you'll be okay.

Pros

You immediately start working on projects that are impactful to the company. It is an amazingly supportive and collaborative work environment. Being a smaller company, each employee gets a lot of opportunities to work on projects that they may not have had exposure to in a larger company. From ping pong tournaments to happy hours, the company culture is fantastic. It is a company full of very smart people who are driven and really care about doing good work.

Cons

It is a pretty good problem to have, but with growing so rapidly, there are times when the workload can be a little overwhelming. The up-side to that is that everyone is willing to lend a hand. The company is still young and building infrastructure, which means that you get to participate in that, but also that sometimes things can feel chaotic.
