Pros

There are no good reasons to work at Strabag honestly.

Cons

The organisation couldn’t care less about employees, especially those on the projects that pay everyone’s wages. They aren’t interested in promoting if you’ve done a good job, because they aren’t interested in encouraging people to do better, and pay increases aren’t given for good workers so there’s no reason to work harder. There is no growth and reward and those working on projects are treated differently to people in the head office. When people leave they don’t do exit interviews and never try to encourage people to stay, so their turnaround is dreadful and morale is awful. It’s a dictatorship not working in unity with staff.

Good pay for construction industry, leadership has genuine interest in innovation. Lots of trust placed in workers, great opportunities for advancing yourself professionally.

Pros

STRABAG Romania offers strong projects and a well-known brand, but the internal management and HR approach are disappointing.

Cons

Salary levels are significantly below market standards, and yearly increases are clearly not keeping up with inflation. In practice, compensation is treated as a cost to be minimized rather than a strategic tool to retain experienced people. The company seems to focus heavily on “optimization,” but the easiest area to cut is always employee salaries. I was promoted into a role with much higher responsibilities, yet the promised salary alignment did not happen. Despite multiple discussions and clear expectations set in advance, months passed with no concrete adjustment. Communication was vague, decisions were delayed, and accountability was missing. Another major issue is employee turnover. The fluctuation is high, but it feels like it is masked internally through reporting and numbers that do not reflect the real situation on the ground. Instead of addressing root causes (low pay, weak leadership, lack of follow-up), the company appears to normalize turnover as part of the system.

Pros

Pay is good and comes on time that's the only reason I am giving 2 stars Management is supportive.

Cons

When it comes to working under health and safety and employ well being their eyes are closed whatever tasks you are given mostly irrelevant from your section or named senior engineer, no matter what, you have to do it otherwise you are in bad books of the management you are being timed, if you are seen in the office you will be asked hundreds of questions, you will be targeted everything, if you have any paper works they will still send you out to do a job which will take hours to do and there's no reason for that, management doesn't listen when you go and speak to them. They are blind and want the work to be done. People above your grade points fingers at you infront of everyone comes to your face and says the task need to be done if you don't do that you need to be ready for personal attacks. Everything is BS
