Pros

The corporate culture is toxic, characterized by favoritism, bullying, and an overall unpleasant atmosphere that breeds fear among employees towards top management. They have super petty rules, such as restrictions on decorations and bringing outside food. They make a point to drain any joy from the working environment. It operates as a boys' club, with top executives frequently embarking on extended golf trips, enforcing a strict no-working-from-home policy, and offering limited PTO. They made the decision to terminate a colleague facing major personal challenges, rather than allowing remote work, this reflects a lack of empathy. The absence of diversity is evident, and HR makes issues worse by breaching confidentiality through gossip about terminations. They also share private/personal info. Transparency is nonexistent, with employees being manipulated and used as pawns in a larger scheme. While it can serve as a valuable stepping stone for gaining experience in certain departments, it is not a conducive environment for long-term commitment.

Cons

People at Rutter’s display incompetence, narcissism, and closed-mindedness. Exclusive cliques contribute to a toxic work environment where blame is unfairly assigned, and Human Resources exacerbates problems. The benefits are subpar, with expensive health insurance, lackluster 401K, and unfavorable PTO policies. Mentorship and training are lacking immensely. Immediate supervisors often throw employees into tasks without proper preparation, and job descriptions may not align with actual responsibilities. In summary, Rutter’s is the worst workplace I've encountered. Potential employees should be aware of these challenges, and while this is my opinion, it likely resonates with other former employees. The corporate culture is toxic, characterized by favoritism, bullying, and an overall unpleasant atmosphere that breeds fear among employees towards top management.
