Pros

Talented and nice staff members, flexible workplace condition.

Cons

Working at Roller was not an enjoyable experience for me. The company let about 8 people go in one day in what I thought was a unprofessional manner. One by one, people were brought into an office with an open glass door so everyone could see inside and they were then let go. There were people very emotional and in tears. While layoffs sometimes happen, I felt it was executed very poorly. Bringing people into a completely exposed office one after the another is not a good way to send these workers off, some of which have given a lot to the company.

<p>We're sorry the role didn't work out for you, and that you found your experience with us negative. We agree that great Companies are built by people, and any advice to care more for the amazing people who work for us is advice we will continue to weave into our culture and day-to-day. The challenges of the past provide us with the experience and understanding to build a better and more sustainable company for everyone, and it will remain a core focus as we continue to grow and scale a global SaaS business. Pros

I had the pleasure of working alongside some incredibly talented individuals—everyone I interacted with was either a true expert in their field or deeply passionate about the company and its mission. The team really knows how to deliver results, and the hybrid work model was a definite plus (though I’ve heard that might be shifting). The product itself is a genuine disruptor in the industry, with so much potential for growth. It's an exciting space to be in, especially if you're driven by innovation and impact.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company has a high turnover rate, particularly during probation. It’s widely felt that passing probation isn’t the norm, and decisions often seem to rest heavily on whether you’re liked by the CPO, Rich. If you’re not in his favour, it can feel like there’s little chance of staying on. To succeed here, you really need to be outspoken or carry a strong, confident presence — sometimes to the point of ego. Culturally, it’s a very tight-knit and somewhat cliquey environment. Many team members spend weekends and holidays together — think group ski trips and social gatherings — and there’s a strong unspoken pressure to immerse yourself completely in the company to feel like you belong. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning how some members of the executive team conduct themselves at company events. It often feels like a “boys club,” where typical boundaries are overlooked. Alcohol flows freely, and unfortunately, I witnessed behaviour from some senior male leaders that was overly familiar and inappropriate at times.

Pros

Product is fun to sell and the customers are great. Some people that work here are nice and good willed. Thats about it.

Cons

Unfortunately this company hired sales leaders from large companies to ruin what is and should be an easy/ non complex sale. On top of this there is EXTREME favoritism amongst sales leaders. I've seen people who actually close deals get treated ten times worse than some who contribute absolutely nothing to the company. Like other negative reviews have mentioned, the culture is a giant clique where people go to happy hours and on weekend trips together and they decide you don't "fit in" they will make up lies to get you gone. I've never seen such a drama filled environment where people go around bragging about their IQ scores the company makes them take acting like they are better than others. They hire and fire people within a 3 month period like clockwork and don't even allow people to finish their ramp period. Recruiters will lie to you about the commission structure and the company will use your at will employment to change things on you and then blame you for having an attitude about it.
