Pros

Used to be one of the good companies to work in Technopark, Trivandrum. Let me start of with something u can notice here in Glassdoor itself: - all the recent good reviews are only given by someone currently working as a senior manager or above. - these reviews are provided only because of management pressure. - check the no of vacancies available in the firm. You can get it from LinkedIn. Of a company of around 600-700 employees, the vacancy is now shown for close to 100 and above. Means 1/6 has resigned or put in their papers to resign. U can guess how many are planning to follow..

Cons

Now coming to the actual troubles: 1. RMesi is not a UK company The company treats it's ESI employees (based out of TVM) as a lower class. Everything is fed down from UK and is meant to be taken in as such with milk and honey. Even idiotic decisions by incompetent people from UK side won't get challenged at all. You can escalate any times against any particular case or person from UK side..but it won't go past the ESI managers level. Make RM-UK happy is unofficial motto. 2. Management Managers who have been here for last 6yrs and above are just masters of bootlicking their way to UK people's good books. They don't care who they throw under the bus for that to happen. Concerns of their fellow esi colleagues are just cries of babies needing milk. And they treat them in same manner as well. 3. Work culture It's a product company. And that means it needs people who have experience in the product as well as qualified in technical/functional side. Because of point 1 & 2, there is a massive attrition of these qualified people. And since these qualified resources are leaving, the new joiners fearing struggle are leaving as well. Rest are either in point 2 or planning to join them soon. 100 post vacancies speak for themselves. 4. Pay scale Its below industry standards. U can that check yourself. Hike falls below 2k per year. 5. Onsite opportunity Literal implementation of carrot-stick analogy. They portray it as a great thing to give an onsite visit for 2 weeks. But they are actually sending you so that they lock you down for 6 months and prevent u from leaving the company. Financial gain & career experience you get is very limited. And the difference in how they treat you in UK vs any random guy from UK is treated by ESI when they visit TVM speak volumes. 6. Other benefits WFH is actively discouraged. RMesi was one of the few companies that strongly recommended against WFH even during Covid crisis. All celebrations are discouraged. No Xmas, diwali or any 'religious festivals' Onam is still there but it's just a shadow of how it used to be.. Leaves are limited. Only good thing is the mandatory shut down in December. Annual day - 'Dance-monkey-dance' events organised only for entertaining UK guests. The company promises to reimburse any expenses for costume or anything but hardly does. So be careful before u jump into any events. 7. Office politics Every company has its share of politics. But in RMesi, it affects ones career in terms of opportunities, growth, salary hike, even where u sit in the office. There is strong group mentality within teams like QA, Development and operations. Everything is a blame game to impress the UK teams. Managers utilise the situation to the maximum. Overall The company has its fair share of troubles. And 4years back I would have gladly recommended RMesi to anyone. But now it's facing some internal crisis which has no foreseeable respite.

Pros

Less number of employees and limited location

Cons

If to be described in one word unprofessional is the apt word. Anything can be tolerated but this unprofessionalism is what makes RM unique. They releases new company values like five to drive which itself proves to be impractical. There are lot of people(worst vampire managers) staying here for years waiting for a new prey to be tortured. Demotivates the employees by performing injustices. The only company which pays less salary to experienced without considering their previous background. There are managers who prove they are good for nothing by acting out various roles and proving that they are utter failures and never loss job and also bends the rules for their benefit and others nightmare. The ones who works well gets either fired or drilled to coffins. Also lot of funny policies are implemented here. When someone questions it, the HR/Manager can't answer because what is being challenged is true and they don't have skills in bending policies. So this gets redirected to seniors and then they decide how to bend that for their own advantage. Careless people makes lot of mistakes only to worsen others.
