There was immense pressure from around 5-6 weeks in. Management appears ill-equipped to handle their own pressure, which becomes evident in meetings and in their overall tone.
Management don't appear to recognize the significant impact that their communication style has on others. In particular, they have no self-awareness about the fact that the way they speak to those in roles below them can negatively affect their entire day or even week - it's genuinely so terrible.
The constant micromanagement is incredibly annoying - let people have more freedom, and you might actually see better results.
Overall, it felt as though treatment by management was closely tied to performance; you'd feel supported and valued when things were going well, but it was noticeably different when things weren’t going well; it just created an uncomfortable culture at times - it made me mentally check out of the role months before I left.
