Don't work here

Pros

Once it was a great place to work. It was innovative and engaging but that changed for the worse.

Cons

In sales it was all about hitting the phone with no innovation or marketing to back you up. Researchers thought they were the center of everything and did not listen to constructive feedback. By the time I left everyone was looking over their shoulder, thinking they were about to be fired. Do not work here if you want to enjoy your job.

Pros

It starts as a fun, new and exciting job, as they all do. Once the kool-aid wears off and the no dress code and free soda lose its luster, you sit back and wonder why there has been a 60+ percent turnover in three months since starting...the writing is on the wall folks!

Cons

Where to begin? So much has been covered within comments below...yes, you don't need a college degree to work here, or even much experience. Why? Well they run this place like a call center, very metric driven, with little motivation other than fear of being yelled it in front of your peers, or being canned. Expect to work long hours, never getting praise for your work or even a simple thank you or way to go. -Qualvu and 24tru are the same company -No HR; don't be fooled by the Communications degree holding woman that has that title -No culture -No review process, no way to get promoted or a pay increase -No communication, among teams, departments, or as a company -Favoritism -Cronyism -Outrageous sales quotas that no-one meets -Lower than industry average sales compensation

Pros

Easy to get hired if you have no experience and are willing to work hard. A great place to learn what not to do as a manager. In spite of everything, there are some wonderful people to work with (management excluded).

Cons

Everything covered previously is true and continues to be true. Upper management cares little about the “people” of Qualvu and resignations continue to happen at a steady rate. Most everyone I know are looking for other jobs. While there is a HR position in place now, this is not a normal HR role. If you make mention that things aren’t right, you will be labeled as a ”trouble maker.” And , if you have ideas for improvement, management will either steal your ideas and make them their own or criticize you. Everyone is wary at Qualvu of saying too much. Quoting another earlier reviewer, “If you're considering a job at Qualvu, ask why nearly the entire marketing, finance, technical and project management departments quit over a 6 month period. Ask about the kind of hours people work, and whether they feel appreciated. Ask why revenue hasn't gone up in 2 years. Ask for a tour of the warehouse they call an office, and ask yourself if you really want to work in a loud environment with your co-worker a mere 1 foot (or less) away from your desk.” As for upper management, there is no one left to mentor anyone or to learn from. If anything Qualvu is a great place to learn what not to do.
