      Used to be good, being run into the ground

      Pros

      The people. The original owners and previous CEO did a great job of creating a nice culture and everyone got on really well

      Cons

      They were sold a few years ago and things slowly got worse but it was still a decent place to work. A new CEO was hired this year and he is ruthless. He'll casually drop callous comments on all hands calls talking about laying off staff. He comes across as a deeply unpleasant person and has destroyed the culture that took years to create Staff no longer have a work life balance. There's now an expectation that people will work longer hours and even on weekends. There's no recognition for this extra work. There are mass redundancies globally. Entire teams who have put in extra hours for months are being let go with no thought to where their workload will go. There's no handover plan either, so the staff left behind will be scrambling to figure things out by themselves Large customers are leaving the company. It really has the feeling of a sinking ship. 90% of the issues are driven by the CEO

      Thanks for your comments and I am sorry to hear you did not have a favorable experience with QAD. We have a long history of operating in Ireland and have some very good teams there now. We regularly present our go forward strategy on all hands QAD and all hand for engineering. I wish you well in your next career endeavor.

      Venture capital buy out ruined the company

      Pros

      Work from home the standard for who it suits. So much change that there is a good chance to progress for those who stick it out.

      Cons

      Toxic environment. Difficult non team players are tolerated and rewarded if they are good. High pressure to deliver. Average salary. Aging tech stack. Limited training opportunities. Constant change and bad communication from management.
