Pros

Great co-workers, sense of camaraderie, accessible and friendly leadership at top level

Cons

Constant unreasonable expectations, gossip-y office culture, general sense of "it's never good enough," the annoying requests to provide 5-star Glassdoor reviews

Glassdoor does not allow employers to edit their pages, as that would compromise the authenticity of the site. Prosek does nothing to influence what people write, as we respect this is a forum for people to anonymously express their views. We do, however, ask employees who have already expressed themselves to us to post on Glassdoor- if they so choose- and we make it clear that this is completely optional. We also ask alumni who have recently departed the firm to tell us about their experience at Prosek so we can learn from it. Thank you for taking the time to express yourself. We do value all the feedback we get on Glassdoor.

Pros

Decent office, we’ll located Young and vibrant staff(usually under paid) CEO actually seems to care about company and staff

Cons

Tech and operations people are treated as second class citizens. HR doesn’t even try to disguise it. They are verbally abusive and mock people behind their backs. Going to them with any of your issues is a grave mistake. They will use anything you say against you, in order to remove you from your job. Poorly funded technology that performs terribly. They want to pass themselves off as innovative and forward thinking, but really they just following trends. Technology here is convoluted and is far behind the curve. They pay nothing to anyone that’s not a VP, I question if those people are even well paid.

Our technology department is incredibly important to us, and we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars/year investing to ensure compliance with the high standards outlined in the contracts of our highly regulated financial institutions. I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience here, but the lack of investment you outline and employees being underpaid is factually incorrect. We have a fantastic new department head and 5 other tech employees whom we think the world of. I’m sorry you may have worked here in more difficult times.

Strange Firm

Pros

Prosek has a ton of top tier clients. Regardless of seniority, employees are able to work with clients at a high level and receive great exposure.

Cons

Human Resources at Prosek is different, far different than any other HR group I have worked with in the past. The HR group encourages employees to engage in unprofessional, gossipy behavior which leads to employees being targeted. In the past few years the firm has grown substantially which has brought in a lot of new employees. With that being said, the tenured employees careful vet new employees in an uncomfortable manner to make sure you fit in with the culture. This firm really does have a 'Mean Girls' feel to it.
