Pros

This company has a lot to give to its employees, the training phase was very interesting and complete. The mentors did their best to give us the autonomy to let us work by ourselves!

Cons

No cons so far, to be honest.

Pros

I have had an incredibly positive experience joining the PDC team. The onboarding is thorough, which has allowed me to comfortably step into my new role. My colleagues and supervisors are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and willing to offer help. The organization works to show that they clearly care for the well-being of their employees, which is demonstrated by excellent benefits, PTO, and a hybrid working model that eliminates much of the stress associated with commuting. Most importantly, working here has provided me with an opportunity to support dispatchers all over the world.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about this organization!

Pros

Excellent coworkers, excellent benefits and a pleasant work environment. They care a lot about their employees and have been rewarded with good workers in return.

Cons

Inter-departmental communication can use some work, I often don't know about other parts of the company until they're brought up. Better systems for troubleshooting/supporting new software is needed.

Used to be great... going downhill fast

Pros

Great benefits and co-workers, great family parties. Great company mission and Doc is amazing!

Cons

Used to be so full of fun and a great atmosphere, but in the last few years it has gone downhill. COVID could be to blame, but good employees are leaving left an right. Most of the executive leadership has left. Not sure what direction we are going now.

Pros

PDC has great employees and systems in place to make this a great place to work. Teams communicate well, leadership is very involved and transparent, and the company as a whole really seems to care about the employees. They've also done a fantastic job adapting to the work-from-home model due to COVID-19.

Cons

As with any data entry position, the work itself can get a bit repetitive. However, if you know what you're getting into and can stay focused, there should be no surprises.

Pros

The company truly cares about the employees and actively strives to improve the work-life, culture and experience for everyone. Nearly everyone I have met at the company is passionate and dedicated to their work. There have been significant changes targeted to improving the work environment and compensation for everyone.

Cons

With everyone working hard, it can be difficult when you need a specific resource. The company is going through a rebirth, leading to constant significant changes.

Fantastic Company, Poor Leadership

Pros

Working on life-saving protocols and challenging industry norms is inherently motivating work. It's also a unique industry for most people, so if you like to learn, there's a lot of fascinating material to work with. Coworkers were fabulous. Such a wonderful group of intellectually curious, conscientious people. Company benefits were fairly good compared to the market norm. Work life balance is excellent.

Cons

My department hemorrhaged half of its talent within a year of its director being replaced with a corporate yes-man. Doc is very intelligent, but difficult to work with, insistent on getting his way with everything, and not open to reasonable suggestions for change on things that he is dead set on. His style guide is a laundry list of personal nit-picks on word choice and making sure certain phrases were a specific color. He also insists on reviewing just about every bit of intellectual property that the company puts out which leads to nasty bottlenecks. This often results in some folks publishing work without consulting him, which causes him to get frustrated and clamp down harder, and the vicious cycle repeats itself. Pay was not competitive with the market. Career advancement wass virtually non-existent. When COVID hit, we were told to take PTO or quit. This is a brave take for a company that employs a small army of former healthcare professionals and researchers. The president at the time (he has since been let go for challenging Doc) sent out a tone-deaf email telling all of us that we'd beat this thing "the old-fashioned way, by washing our hands!" They finally sent us all home and approved remote work within a month after many employees raised hell over this.
