Unlike a traditional minimum wage job, you get part of the delivery fee and potential tips in addition to the minimum wage per hour. Overall, driving around can be more relaxing than working inside, so you don't necessarily need a break. Very flexible with your hours if you are attending school. Overall, if you don't have a particular skill and you want a flexible part time job, it is a decent option.
Cons
It is mostly an evening job so you will go home really late, it can easily mess up your daily schedule. Being a delivery driver is a double edge sword, you will either make decent money on nights when you got a lot of tips, or you will be disappointed on nights that you aren't making anything over minimum wage with barely enough delivery fees to cover your gas and insurance (on those night you are basically putting wear and tear of your car for free) Being a delivery driver has many hidden risk besides the potential of getting robbed. The frequent start, stop, acceleration, braking, speed bumps in residential driving is a car killer, eventually your car will be repaired in some aspect. The commercial liability insurance cover covers the other person in case of accident caused by your fault, it will not cover the damage of your own vehicle. If your insurance company ever finds out you are using your personal vehicle for business purpose, you will face an increase in insurance premiums.
