Pros

The lack of talent at manager / supervisory level will provide you with great opportunities to come up with ideas that will add value to the company. The lack of undefined processes also will help you put forward ideas on improvements.

Cons

The very same untalented managers / supervisors referred to above will gladly take your ideas and run with them as their own and conveniently forget to give you any credit. You will spend the rest of your time and energy trying to remove the knives from your back from your 'teammates' and colleagues. Even the air inside the buildings there seems toxic.

Pros

Honestly, hard to think of many. Unlimited PTO is nice, benefits for paternity and maternity are good.

Cons

So many... Leadership is incredibly untrustworthy. I only spent a short time here, and couldn't believe how disjointed and disorganized it was for being such a large company. Leadership would pull 180s on policies seemingly overnight. All of the staff I encountered were actively disengaged from the constant change with little to no communication. I have been in industry for right at 20 years, and this was the least motivated staff I encountered since leaving academia. By the time I got there, they had laid off about half the staff, and there was still a TON of fat left that needed to be trimmed. Individual contributors have little to no motivation to do well. Those who work hard and do a great job get minimal reward over those who do nothing and slow the team down. The organization focuses so much on employee engagement results, that it makes it difficult for managers to do anything about poor performers. I have been in several Fortune 500 organizations, and never did I feel so hamstrung as a manager. Leadership wanted results, but gave you none of the support needed to make changes.
