Leaving the business is the only pro I can think of

Cons

- Shocking management CPO, CTO and other exec are awful. - HR team is non existent - Massive egos - Lack of leadership and support - Cases of people not getting paid - Engineering culture is toxic. Lead Dev is a control freak. Leadership team in tech are not nice people. - The company is laughable. Avoid at all costs. If you literally have nothing else then still reject them you’ll be better off.

Decent tech stack Approach to flexi working was quite good during pandemic, not sure on their longer-term plans

Cons

poor leadership, especially on the Tech & product side. HR department are almost non-existent and I'd describe them as vultures. Always paid late, had to chase up my invoices regularly Very untrustworthy management team and driven by egos One individual, a Technical Architect in the Dev team, would berate candidates during the interview to a point where they would end the call and pull their applications. This happened more often than not. Non-existent benefits but HR team gives themselves a pat on the back for offering a wellness voucher (in place of any health insurances). Very poor working culture. Saw a number of "back-stabby" moments. Systems are non-existent. Everything seems to be managed by Excel spreadsheets.

Pros

The firm changed owners a few years ago and started on a modernisation journey. Its hired a lot of talented and genuine people and rebuilt its software platform and products on to a modern cloud based architecture. The engineering team has grown rapidly. Collaborates well, shares knowledge, and lots of opportunities to pick up new skills. High cadence releases. You get to see the results of your efforts providing value quickly. Strong focus on the customer and growing the business. Excellent opportunity to grow your knowledge and career, alongside the companies growth.

Cons

High pace not for everyone. Growing fast and does make mistakes but tries to learn from them.
