Pros

Decent benefits and the people.

Cons

underpaid, understaffed, over-worked, not recognized for your hard work or effort, poor communication across departments and from management and executives (communication across the cu is the worst I've seen at any organization).

Pros

OnPoint has great benefits, it is the standard in credit unions. 401k matching is better, however OnPoint is notorious for paying significantly less (20-40% less) than other financial institutions for back office (think bachelor degree required) jobs. Branch salaries are comparable elsewhere. Culture can be great depending what group you’re in, or completely toxic. I worked here nearly a decade and learned its commonplace for manipulative and tone deaf managers to gaslight employees about their concerns and complaints. OnPoint has some of the best people I’ve worked for, and a lot of the worst. If you start here I suggest you go in with the idea that it’s temporary, and keep looking for a higher paying job that holds its department managers accountable.
