Pros

Health insurance coverage was not bad

Cons

The company is horrible! Management is terrible ! The culture is horrible! They treat their clients awful ! Their technology is from 1980. My pay was good at the bank I worked at prior to Old National buying them out. So my pay was good while I was there. However, Old National pays their employees poorly. I turned down a regional position because they wouldn’t give me a raise. I was berated for asking for a raise to take on 3 additional states and told they normally wouldn’t even pay me my current salary. What I asked for was in line with what a regional position pays. The HR woman was extremely rude. They ended up hiring a man they paid $40 K for the position and gave him 4 states. He had hundreds of branches for $40 K. He said he never saw his family and was on the road 7 days a week. I dodged a bullet. Also, I know what the pay range was for new hires because I hired them. Terrible! Shortly after ONB let all of their seasoned workers go and replaced them with low wage workers or not at all. They did this right before they were supposed to pay out the “ bonuses “ that were earned and promised . I made them millions and they let me go 3 days before they were supposed to pay me. Shady! Eventually they had to close branches. Lots of my clients left after all this happened. You cannot treat customers and employees badly and then expect to stay in business. In addition to these issues, the company is constantly making mistakes and they add unnecessary steps to everything which impairs productivity. Do not bank here! Do not work here! “ Most ethical company “ my butt! You paid someone to say that!

Thank you for taking time to provide your perspective. Based on information shared, this doesn’t appear to be linked with our operating model nor are we aware of the situation you have presented. We strive to ensure a positive team member experience, through both our ONB values, our culture and routine team member surveys. In addition, our Compensation area continually reviews market-based pricing to compensate on a fair and equitable basis. Nevertheless, I will share your comments with leader colleagues and again thank you for providing your perspective.

Pros

*Sick time that can be used for medical or dental appointments. *All holidays plus bank holidays off *Bonuses on sales and annual bonus

Cons

*Became very sales driven to the point of micromanaging every breath you take. This led to a stressful and hostile work environment. *Saturday's are mandatory. *Bonuses are based on sales and so is the annual bonus. * Long hours

Pros

Not many pros since FMB was sold to ONB

Cons

Under paid and undervalued. No ability to grow or move up. Who's butt do you need to kiss to get ahead rather than promote and pay the people who perform. Does NOT invest in infrastructure and technology. Management prefers "yes men" bobbleheads than people with different opinions. Also, management is not investing in the business so they can meet cost cutting metrics in the proxy so they can get a huge bonus for the purchase of First Midwest. They are not looking out for the long term value of the share holders. The conversation of FMB is a disaster.

Pros

Great company to work for, the employees make you feel like family and are super helpful (i was in the hospital and they texted me to check in on me)

Cons

No Christmas bonus/gift from the company, all PTO is front loaded on Jan 1 so you have to be careful how you use it, office is open on Christmas Eve 🫤 which id rather have off over the other random gov’t holidays they close.
