Toxic culture ran mostly by greedy private equity people that only focus and care about the bottom line

Extreme unprofessional toxic environment in the Houston office. The type of toxic environment you hear about but think it doesn't exist. If you see Houston job postings is because people leave all the time due to the toxicity and lack of growth. Pay is good but the benefits are awful. Some areas are thin because the company wants to go public so they don't hire in those departments. There is a lot of pressure in certain areas to reduce costs that micromanaging is extreme on some departments.

Leadership doesn’t communicate well to the rest of the organization. There’s a lot of turnover, both because people leave and because of sporadic layoffs and there are frequent changes in lower level leadership, leading to constant priority changes and confusion amongst employees actually doing the work. There’s also a lack of flexibility and a new 5 days a week in the office mandate have made many people unhappy as it provides no value or additional productivity. Leadership also monitors the in office policy like big brother.

Not all that glitters is gold. Cuts in headcount seem to be swiped under the carpet and kept quiet throughout the company. And many are experiencing an increase in workload due to shortage of FTE. Problem area is higher management.
