Pros

- Transparent and open communication regarding business objectives, long term plan, and artisan partnerships. Noonday really lives up to what it says it does as a business, creating sustainable employment opportunities for artisans across the globe - Intentional hiring process to create cohesive and embracing company culture, hiring everyone to meet core values of collaboration, purposefulness, adaptability, and positivity -Opportunities to help shape company as it grows at fast pace. If you have a desire to take initiative and create or strengthen processes, there is room to stretch these muscles and add value. - Really kind employees with deep hearts to serve and create lasting impact. Everyone is willing to work really hard with a bigger purpose in mind. - Open door policy, encouraging questions and explanations as desired -Really great benefits for small company -- up to 4 weeks PTO in first year and 5 weeks after that, generous maternity leave, paternity leave, free snacks and drinks, potential to have health care subsidized through loyalty program, paid volunteer days, and paid birthday day off

Cons

- Oftentimes Executive Leadership Team can operate in reactionary capacity rather than proactive processes, making changes at very fast pace, sometimes without fully vetting the effects of the change and the people that carry out the execution. This has improved over time, but can create responsibility burdens. - Due to the small size of the company there aren't clear pathways for growth and promotion. In order to progress in career need to have high sense of ownership and direction in job, proposing opportunities and trailblazing the way. For some people this can be very engaging and exciting, growing them in their career the way only a small company atmosphere can, but for some this is a turn off as they want a clear ladder and timeline for progression. Know what you are looking for in a company and consider your needs in order to feel satisfied. - Pay is comfortable but would not qualify it as competitive for most roles, with business leaders favoring investments in ambassadors and compensation plan and definitely in artisan business partners' development before home office employees. It is a socially oriented business though, so this is to be somewhat expected.

Passionate Company; Underpaid Home Office

Pros

This company is really making a positive impact on artisan business partners and ambassadors. They heavily focus on taking care of artisans and receiving feedback from ambassadors (their salespeople). Fun environment to work in, very passionate CEOs. Benefits are pretty good for being a small company.

Cons

Underpay their home office staff. If you take a job here, don't expect to receive a raise anytime soon, so make sure you start at a pay you're comfortable with staying at for a long time. Huge disconnect between departments. They won't fire managers who don't do a good job, so good employees become so tired with these managers and leave. The cycle just continues.

Pros

Great benefits for a small company. Passionate about caring for communities and people in developing countries. Fun events for staff.

Cons

There's a large disconnect between departments, specifically the warehouse downstairs & creative/marketing/sales/accounting departments upstairs. The upstairs staff is snobby and demeaning to everyone else. Noonday also exploits the refugee employees - only filming them when doing promos, giving larger work loads and responsibility without a pay raise. Management is TERRIBLE, but they refuse to fire those employees. There is high turnover because people can only handle so much.
