Pros

You get paid decently if you stick around or are one of the favourites.

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing, worst leadership I have seen in my career. No new projects = no job security, no career development. Turnover is really high people and people are scared for their jobs. The A Players are leaving the company, what's left is a bunch of C Players. Long working hours because projects are run ineffeciently. Global business but processes don't work in the Canadian market.

Pros

Big projects to work on and potentially get access to some of the smarter people in the industry to learn from.

Cons

The graduate program is comprehensive but can feel very degrading for university graduates. E.g. there will be a lot of printing and hitting forward in the document control rotation and laminating signs in the safety rotation. There will also be a lot of palming off of work to graduates and these tend to be the work that no one wants to do, e.g. make signs or marking up physical comments that an engineer/design manager made onto a pdf version which isn't very stimulating work. Salary is also on the low side for the amount of hours you put in.

Pros

Multiplex build some of the most iconic buildings in the world

Cons

Frustrating to work in a company where people are not valued and where presenteeism is rife and promotions are based on favouritism, who you know and who you go drinking with. I have worked on many projects with Multiplex over the past 8 years and the company culture has remained the same. I have seen so many talented colleagues leave the company because of this which is really sad to see
