Pros
Flexibility in my start time, employee appreciation, short waiting period for benefits. Leadership seemed to care a lot about showing their employees they care, with outside activities, incentives, and free meals to make up for pay.
Cons
Low pay, expensive benefits, lots of busy-work, passive aggressive atmosphere. I was hired with the impression that this was a busy place, but it turned out to be nothing but. There was very little work to do at the corporate office, and there was this facade from leadership that they were always swamped. Almost every Friday afternoon consisted of wine or canned cocktails (during work hours) because of all the “hard work” that was being done at the corporate office. When I gave my 2 week notice after 4 months, I was involuntarily terminated the next day because “I knew too much” and had “too much access,” when in reality they should have just told me there wasn’t enough work for me. At that point, they were assigning me work totally outside of my job description and above my pay grade, but it was something for me to do.
