Toxic culture

Pros

Huge profit margins due to cheap to supply service and inflated prices.

Cons

I actually used Glassdoor myself before joining MirrorWeb and was suspicious of the lack of balance to their reviews but decided to join anyway. I quickly came to realise that the other reviews on here were ‘manufactured’ and that, unfortunately, the exact opposite of most of the claims was true. There’s a very toxic ‘lads’ culture with a ‘cliquey’ inner circle which, if you’re on the outside, can lead to a very difficult working environment. Decisions are made based on relationships rather than anything related to workplace performance and there is a very strong ‘blame’ culture with lots of very reactive and ‘aggressive’ leadership. Unless you’ve worked in a similar environment and found that it doesn’t affect you, I’d suggest thinking really hard before joining.

Think twice

Pros

Exceptional colleagues. Driven, talented, and genuinely invested in the work.

Cons

Come ready to give everything with very little coming back your way. High performance is expected but appreciation, growth, and fair compensation are not guaranteed. Leadership operates from a place of pressure rather than partnership, with little awareness of the realities on the ground. Mistakes are not met with grace and talented people have been let go without transparency, creating a culture where speaking up feels like a risk not worth taking.
