Pros

Really enjoyed the team at Mindflash. The quality of engineers was quite high, although during my time there was a lot of turnover and change.

Cons

Lots of technical debt that made shipping new features difficult

Pros

Remote work, unlimited PTO (supposedly) , not a ton of meetings, some intelligent people to work with.

Cons

This is a gradually imploding company with a pile of NodeJS code at its core that is nearly unmaintainable. The company is part of a collection of companies under the TrakStar brand name. After I was unceremoniously shown the door, the CTO quit, the Director of Engineering quit, their better engineers quit, and they closed the Denver office. The CEO is useless, the product has no vision and is overpriced, and the competition is eating their lunch.

Pros

Flexible time off (when they let you take it), great team of AE's to work with.

Cons

1. Offer letters don't match incentive/commission agreements. Offer letter stated a variable pay of $60,000, however if you hit 100% of quota + bonuses, you are only eligible to receive $27,000. When this was brought up to leadership at ATSI/Trakstar/whatever they want to go by now, employees were told that they were doing the math wrong... math is black and white... there is no gray area. 2. The ever changing "flavor of the week". Focus on demo attendance! No, focus on discovery calls! No, focus on advancement! No, focus on next steps! This not only doesn't allow up to ACTUALLY focus on anything, but also creates an environment of micromanaging instead of proactive strategizing. 3. I was told in my interview that 100% of the sales team was currently hitting goal. That could not be further from the truth. I was also told that the ramp up period was 6 months. People who have been there for a year still aren't able to sell anything because of high pricing for an outdated product. 4. The free version of Hubspot as a CRM is terrible. You are a for-profit company. Invest in the tools your employees use to engage prospects. 5. Morale is the lowest I have ever experienced... at any job. EVER. 6. Mindflash is clearly an afterthought of ATSI. 7. In person communication with leadership, especially when announcements are made that may impact employment status, would be extremely helpful. A leader should have been in the office the day the Mindflash>Trakstar notice went out to field questions.
