Pros

Working 8 hours is pretty standard and since you're not provided a laptop, you're not expected to take your work home and work over time. Gym, day care and pool for employees. Decent 3 week vacation after the first year passes.

Cons

Where do I even begin...here's a list (there could be more) - Terrible base salary with no annual raise or performance based raise. - They will make it sound like you're going to earn a lot from profit sharing and try to sell you the idea when you're given an offer. In reality however, the profits are not guaranteed every quarter - it's only guaranteed when the companies post the profits (which could take a while since it's privately owned). It could take over 10-12 months before you get your first profit share after you join - No growth. Most people there have been in the same positions for years (some over a decade). - No WiFi. Very strict internet usage policy for desktop worksations (no social media, email, YouTube etc). - No flex hours. Your work is tracked on 15 minute intervals. You can't use the recreational facilities during work hours. If you decide to go play pool outside your lunch window, you have to badge out and technically take off time to go have some fun. You're expected to make up for that time during the day. - Colleagues are unsupportive especially if they are not in your department. - NO vacation in the first year. - Since laptops are rarely provided, option to work from home is limited. - No team-building activities and extremely rare team lunches.

Cons

Here is a list of cons that never finishes : - low salary - no annual increase - 2weeks vacations...3weeks after 3years then after freaking 10yrs u get 4weeks - no xmas party its a small brunch at cafeteria very cheap - they only pay 75% when using sick day - keep making false promises of raises that come like 2-3 years later and are 1% raises - raises dont even have anything to do with performance...everybody gets the same percentage - no budget you ask for equipment they say its over the budget cant order - no possibility of advancement its you...your boss then the director.. - management is terrible - they check your bag......everytime u leave the building...they dont trust employees - after 5yrs you been there they give you a 20$ pen to thank you wow its so generous - cafeteria food is terrible - no one really cares seriously about there job since they dont get payed enough or get raises - in 6 yrs i got about 2k in raises since i started - very poor quality product they are relased before time and full of bugs - no one is motivated and you can see it - profit sharing is only 1% - everyone has been leaving lately its been an exodus and they cant find anyone to remplace cause they have a reputation of treating people like numbers

Pros

Great products, flex time, gym, pool.

Cons

Very poor quality products, always released before they are ready, and two years late from engineering equals very serious loss of market share. 10% failure rate in the field. Losing major customers regularly in the past two years. Privately owned by two engineers who have not talked to each other in ten years having offices on opposites sides of the 235,000 square foot facility. Layoffs are common now to save money. Always laying off the expensive achiever employees.
