Pros

Good people, organized company and processes.

Cons

DEI policies promote DMs who are not ready and alienate those who are.

Don't do it.

Pros

Great benefits and the Franchisees are like family.

Cons

Comp Plan changes almost every year and not necessarily for the good. Corporate is very shady the way they rolled it out. The communication with this company is the worst. As a DM you would be the last to know about anything important. Work life balance is the worst with way more time spent away from home. The commissions are no longer commissions, they are now bonuses and ranges are BS. Parent company spends too much time worrying about DEI.

Pros

There is very little to praise.

Cons

Spending your own money to fund Matcos business in the field, waiting for weeks to get reimbursed. Constantly getting yelled at by franchise owners who should never have been put in business. Getting demoralized by RM's telling you that you suck at life and you need to spend your own money to motivate the franchises to spend more money with corporate. Matco is not a tool company, but a finance company. They will squeeze every ounce of life out of you. You are expected to take your company phone on vacation and work. Expected to work daily, sometimes from 5am to 6-7-8PM just depends on the day. Evening meetings, weekend meetings, also the COMP plan is a bold face lie. You will never make what they sell you on. The current opening list salary range from 130-150K. lies and more lies from upper management,.
