Pros

Above average pay with remote working

Cons

Everything else Micromanagement Not listening to staff with lots of valid suggestions on how to improve customer service and claim journey Team leaders weren’t allowed to actually manage their own teams - they would be told what to do Reading online posts about the company and being mortified that despite how hard the staff work the right processes and improvements weren’t being made so customers were still unhappy Being asked where I work and saying “oh a pet insurance company” and hoping they don’t ask who because god forbid they were a customer Genuinely never wanted to leave a workplace more than working at ManyPets

Pros

This company excels in a diverse and inclusive work environment, offering substantial learning opportunities in these areas, and actively putting these principles into practice. The organisation offers attractive compensation packages for new employees, making it a great place for newcomers to the industry.

Cons

The former CEO (Steven Mendel) had a troubling approach, often publicly demeaning staff, which I've seen happen too often, termed internally as being "Mendeled". The handling of redundancies has been haphazard and seems motivated by personal agendas rather than genuine capability, leading to unnecessary instability. The transition in leadership has been fraught with controversy. The new CEO, who played a key role in the previous CEO's dismissal, exhibits a rather cunning and self-serving approach. Plus there is a sense with promotions which has introduced a sense of elitism. Caution is advised when dealing with her, as her motives can be opaque and self-centred. The customer service department faces intense demands, operating almost mechanically, which could impact the service quality. While there are signs of improvement in the claims department, the head of claims needs to be held more accountable for the department's overall performance. There is a notable disparity in salaries, with longstanding employees receiving less favourable compensation compared to new hires. It might be wise to consider other opportunities, or jumping ship as they say. They're supposed to be product led but are slow and waterfall at best. Not an insurtech but a cumbersome insurer, they have nothing that makes them stand out against other insurers. Apart from their terrible pricing practices which is having some customers receive over 100% increase in premiums at renewal! Plus they're putting in more t&C's into their policies which is negatively impacting customers

Hello and thanks for taking the time to leave us your review. We appreciate your recognition of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as the learning opportunities provided to our employees. We take pride in creating a supportive work environment. I’ll be honest, I don’t feel like I’m best placed to address the points you’ve raised, so I will share your post with the wider senior leadership team so they are aware. We strive to uphold high standards of leadership and to ensure fairness and transparency in all aspects of how we do business - and I’m sorry you feel we fell short of this during your tenure. Gone downhill

Pros

Complaints team were amazing and we all worked hard together during the toughest of times when the rest of the company sugar coated how bad they were actually doing.

Cons

They forced a system on our team which essentially broke us all. The system kept "track" of your workload and basically timed how long each complaint can take to handle... Please note the customer service was horrendous and the complaints had to be handled properly to give customers some faith someone cared. Being timed meant these were being rushed and that the customer service the company loved to brag about was thrown out the window! To add to this, they forced this horrendous system on us, only to announce soon after that our team would be at risk of being made redundant. Now they are going to be left no proper complaint handlers lol and will regret their decisions as non of us have decided to stay, including the manager who was the brains behind the team. Complaints manager and TLs were amazing and really cared for the company and each team member; we were a family who supported each other during hard times due to other departments failings. Not to mention they were the only ones who cared about our mental health... The higherups dont care one bit. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way our team was treated when we was the backbone of the company in helping to redeem itself after such awful complaints were logged for service and delays caused by the systems you put in place.
