It's unfortunate that the people in charge don't care about you - they don't care if you're burning out, they don't care if it's 4am, they don't care if it's Sunday. They lowball your salary, tell you to make the sacrifice for a good cause, and they promise you gold...and give you aluminum. Reviews are forgotten so best believe that your raise will also be forgotten. The tech leads may be skilled in that, although I think this is arguable, but they are most certainly not skilled in management of people - no one on top is anyone to admire or respect, unfortunately, because they don't empathize with others. They don't really stick to their values: 1. do the right thing - when they never do right by their employees as mentioned above. 2. be part of the solution - there's a culture club but because the ones on top don't care, nothing has changed in over a year. 3. show people that you care - turnover wouldn't be as high if you showed your employees you cared, it's the number one reason so many people I know have left. Oh, and there might only be 7 months of money left if things don't get better, right? No summer party scheduled yet either so must be accurate?
