Pros

Selling toys means every month is different - no such thing as boredom. Work hard and rewarded well for the effort put in. Love what I'm doing !!

Cons

Hard work and effort are the minimum requirements. Days can be long...

Pros

Basically none this place is a joke in terms of how employees are treated. There are some brilliantly creative people who work there.

Cons

If you want to imagine what it would be like working for the Donald Trump of the Toy Industry then look no further. The CEO just got a Twitter and LinkedIn so if you want to see what a lovely person he is check out all the crap talk he does on social media instead of running his company like a competent leader, sounds familiar doesn’t it? All the fake “positive” reviews on here crack me up, they have no substance. Working there was an absolute nightmare, the office is shabby, disgusting and ugly, it’s also located in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. There are almost no good amenities there that other places of employment offer UNLESS YOU WANT FREE BAGELS. The HR department is disorganized and dealing with the CEO’s tyraids or behavior are morally draining. He thinks he’s a genius but he’s just some jerk with a chip on his shoulder who takes credit for everything and treats people like garbage. God forbid he goes and asks one of his inexperienced kids to get involved. The CEO has no vision so he just throws things against a wall until something sticks. He has no idea why something isn’t or is successful and acts like a bitter child on social media. He has also been known to harass people who quit. Just avoid this company there are better places to work even if you are desperate. I would rather be homeless without a job then to ever come back and work at this shady establishment. There are so many creative companies, with far less drama, in LA so you won’t really miss much if you decide not to work here. -No raises or bonuses -Healthcare is decent -location is abysmal -Bagels on fridays how novel! -Work life balance isn’t there -Not a lot of paid holidays -Have to deal with the CEO constantly -No vision for the company’s future -low morale -pay isn’t great -No clear career mobility -You will be doing 5 people’s jobs because they are under staffed

Do not work here, RUN!

Pros

None. The one and only perk of this job was 2pm release "Summer Fridays", and those were taken away from employees without them ever being told from leadership.

Cons

Where to start? I'm am writing this review to give future employees an insight to the day-to-day culture of MGA Entertainment. Something I wish I was given before excepting a role here. This company offers ZERO flexibility. You want to work from home? Forget it. This type of work is not allowed, period. The CEO lacks the humility or foresight to allow his employees to work anywhere but in the office. If you aren't at work, then "you're stealing from him." You want to see inside the psyche of the CEO? Follow him on Linkedin. His attitude is one of a bully, who shows a complete lack of empathy for others. Anyone who has worked here will tell you that he/she lived in fear while working for MGA. Fear of the CEO, fear of the head of HR, fear of leadership in general. The positive reviews posted on glassdoor are fake. The CEO demands that employees log on to glassdoor and instructs them to leave positive reviews in order to increase his and the overall company rating. If you don't follow orders, you get fired. Do not believe any of the positive ratings. Educate yourself before you ever think about taking a role at MGA. Ask former employees and they will provide you the honest information about the culture and work/life balance (which there is none). Overall, there is absolutely no compassion for employees and their families. The leadership at MGA will own you 24/7.
