Pros

Work here to get the best insights into a company that thrives on caustic cliques, underperforming yet over-inflated narcissistic senior management and constant whiplash from KPIs that change suddenly, often and without any consultation. This hellhole relies on seducing applicants with empty promises of improving healthcare and changing lives of patients. Instead, the reality is that it excels only in haemorrhaging money and shows no sign of stopping any time soon. If Kitchen Nightmares was Organisation Nightmares instead, an episode at this cesspit would be their highest rated and most viewed programme ever. If you want to build resilience, work here to challenge yourself and see how long you can last under the neverending rounds of redundancies and threats of PIPs hanging over your shoulder. If you want to observe oppression and discrimination, work here to face a daily barrage of flimsy excuses and well-executed gaslighting. Anyone and everyone here can be exploited and dismissed without warning. It takes a particularly heinous kind of company and HR so lacking of integrity, support or understanding to so coldly cut loose even the most senior and loyal of employees who have given this undeserving dumpster every ounce of their hard work, passion and dedication. If you want a quieter life and to extinguish any hope of career progression, work here and you'll undoubtedly lose all ambition and existing skills - and you can forget about ever learning any new ones either! If you want to observe the most tone-deaf and uncaring of echo chambers, you'll sadly never run out of pathetic, spineless and narcissistic individuals to analyse. A shame considering what's left after just the ashes and ruins of a business founded on so much potential. Maybe one day things may change with new management and leadership. With such a high turnover rate, perhaps that day may come sooner rather than later!

Cons

Losing some of the most talented, tenacious and hardworking colleagues who believed in the vision and the patients. The numbers don't lie and no amount of empty benefits and endless vacuous presentations can cover up the sheer number of employees that have left the company. Some left because they were forced to, unsupported and constantly discriminated, others left because they recognised that it's just a countdown till they're next. For anyone who has integrity and the desire to use their talents to support others and improve healthcare RUN. You'll have more impact and more luck being listened to at a GP's reception. What an actual joke of a business, not even worth adding to the CV.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience at LloydsDirect. We value your feedback and are sorry to hear about some of your frustrations. While no company is perfect, we've taken your feedback seriously and would like to address some of your points. LloydsDirect has recently undergone an acquisition, joining forces with Pharmacy2U and you’re correct, our objectives and key results (OKRs) have had to change as a result of that, due to the new strategic direction. This exciting development brings new opportunities and possibilities for growth, both professionally and personally to everyone at LloydsDirect. So, we see this as a great opportunity to combine forces on our path to profitability, which has always been a goal of ours and we are committed to fostering a positive work environment under this new partnership. We hear your concerns about the challenges you’ve faced and we want to assure you that we value all our employees and we want to emphasise our commitment to DE&I. LloydsDirect has a robust DE&I Strategy, D&I Policy, and Employee Resource Groups. We are a company that is continuously learning and fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We would encourage you to reach out to our People Director, Laura Turnbull laura.turnbull@lloydsdirect.co.uk, who is available for a confidential conversation to address any additional concerns or suggestions directly with you, if you're open to it. Moreover, we recognise the importance of internal progression and the need for a supportive working environment. We have so many amazing career trajectory examples here at LloydsDirect, for example Pharmacists becoming our Ops Directors; Patient Care Advisors moving into Marketing & the People Team; Dispenser Trainees to Professional Standard Pharmacists, to name a few! In addressing concerns about our feedback processes, we aim to create a transparent and supportive process for this. We have a very low Performance Improvement Plan (“PIP”) rate and always seek to support team members informally first with a very good success rate of improvement without the need for a PIP, achieving positive outcomes for our team members. Glassdoor is not the only place we welcome feedback from our team members. We give the opportunity for everyone to reach out in various forums including the eNPS quarterly survey, quarterly Ask me Anything sessions, monthly Office Hours with our Managing Director, Connie and we’ve just launched our survey between surveys. In reference to high turnover rate, we operate at a higher than average team retention rate in our industry at 23% and our median employee tenure is at a solid 3 years. Our team members are dedicated to embodying our values; Positive, Thoughtful and Inventive, on a daily basis. We encourage an open dialogue and invite you to reach out to Laura or the People team peopleteam@lloydsdirect.co.uk if you have further suggestions or concerns. All the best for the future!

Pros

- Helping people to get hold of important medicine is a simple goal to get behind. Working on that problem and hearing from people who you've helped makes being motivated easy. - Colleagues in the pharmacy are genuine, lovely and smart

Cons

- There is no long term strategy (or at least one that sticks for more that 6months) making it difficult to 'succeed' and deliver. - The product and engineering team has gone through several restructures in a year as a result of strategy shifts, creating confusion, sapping morale, undermining pre-existing plans. - They've introduced middle managers that lack understanding of how the business works, and are trying to justify their existence instead of providing support to people doing the work. - They've laid off experienced staff as a result of these (questionable) restructures.

Pros

People that you work with are really talented. Benefits are quite good too.

Cons

Poor pay, NOT competitive at all. ELT Management is laughable. They are biased, hypocritical and constantly changing their ‘vision’ for the company. Shows they don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
