Pros

The paycheck are clearing the bank

Cons

Morale is at an all time low. I work with multiple departments and I can say that I have never seen morale this low. The new CEO Brian Provost is more concerned with bragging about how many snowmobiles and atv's he has, and name dropping a bunch of corporate america leaders to make it seem like he knows what he is doing. He also likes to brag about firing people from previous companies. Everyone working here sees it and is getting fed up. To top it off, he has imported a bunch of his minnesota corporate stooges to implement his vision and culture. Lightspeed culture was great but since he arrived about a year and half ago, it has eroded. The HR department has coined the term 'Lightspeeders' which the entire company cringes at. Nobody likes it!!!!!!! They are so demeaning and implementing policies that are contrary to hiring promises. Pay is mediocre and work life balance is non existent since the new executive team has arrived. Oh, and health benefits are terrible. But they were bad before they came.

Pros

None worth mentioning. Any surface-level perks are overshadowed by the hostile and retaliatory environment.

Cons

LightspeedDMS has cultivated a deeply misogynistic workplace culture, and their newly formed HR team is dangerously unqualified to handle serious complaints. When I reported repeated sexist behavior from male colleagues, HR not only failed to investigate—they terminated me the very next day. No due process. No protection. Just retaliation. This company does not support women, does not understand basic HR compliance, and clearly lacks leadership accountability. If you're expecting professionalism, fairness, or even basic human decency, look elsewhere. Too many changes happening all at once

Pros

fellow employees are good to work with, and direct managers are great.

Cons

The amount of change happening at Lightspeed right now is overwhelming. Everyone is under immense pressure. After reading other recent reviews on Glassdoor, I felt compelled to share my own experience. Lightspeed is no longer the great company it once was. Corporate greed has taken over. The new CEO, Brian Provost, seems intent on squeezing every last drop out of both employees and customers. Unfortunately, by the time he moves on in a few years, he will have left many, many bodies in his wake! He often claims that the company’s strength lies in its people, but his actions tell a very different story. Last year, he accidentally sent an email intended only for company leaders to the entire organization, stating that 20% of employees should be placed on performance improvement plans. Since then, many long-term, high-performing employees have been terminated or pushed out. The culture that he and his Minnesota based leadership team have created is toxic and demoralizing. My advice is to stay away from this company until there’s a change in upper management, if the company even survives that long.
