I worked at LifeScan full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Salary was ok, and company started out with good intentions

    Cons

Middle and Senior Management are inexperienced, unqualified and create a clique environment actively enforcing a culture of favoritism. This was especially true of the engineering functions which are currently headed by former members of R&D who were unable to progress in that area (likely due to incompetence).

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at LifeScan full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent work life balance as you will have more life than work if working for LifeScan. People even travel to the seaside and say they will be „working“ from there. Never seen this in any other company. Also, working from home is not an issue. Many people hardly show up in the office. A very good (JnJ) canteen in Zug office.

    Cons

The most boring job I ever had. Zero innovation and most likely no future. Unless somebody buys them and starts investing. Pay is very average. The competition is much more advanced. In terms of culture it is like back in the 90ies. No real leadership, the managers don’t take any decisions or use their brain, they just communicate decisions from the top or other departments. People are not empowered. Also, the communication is very poor and not transparent. One can learn more news in the coffee corner than from the management or official communication channels. The Zug office is shrinking. Every other week somebody is leaving. People are highly not motivated. I’ve not seen any inspiring leader here so far.
