Please listen to Glassdoor reviews. I have spent some time in this industry for multiple PE admins and this is by far the worst. Extremely unorganized teams, lack of planning, zero, I mean ZERO, training, and really no upward feedback mode. All my complaints were promptly ignored from week one. You’re given work, and a lot of work, before you even get one walk through or training. The teams are so unorganized that you’re often thrown around because there’s a massive lack of capacity for the accountants who are actually assigned to those clients. Every minute of your day needs to be precisely monitored because they worry about budgets more than employees truly mastering the funds. After working for multiple PE firms I can honestly say coming here was regrettable. The benefits do not outweigh the massive issues. Avoid if you can.

Underpaid and overworked, anyone who takes two minutes to look for another job realizes immediately how terribly LeverPoint pays and how they take top performers for granted and eventually force them out of the company. Accounting typically has a higher turnover than other career fields, but LeverPoint's turnover is insane. They average losing about 50 people a year (25% of their employment base). In the past year, multiple associate managers, managers, and directors have left. It has gotten so bad that out of approximately 200 employees, there are less than 25 that have been at LeverPoint for more than five years. Positive reviews are padded by HR and upper management, so take everything with a grain of salt. A few months ago, the reviews on Glassdoor were so poor that the company begged current employees to leave reviews to boost their image (and then LeverPoint went from 1.5 starts to 3 overnight). If you notice, for every negative review, there is instantly a glowing, but vague review a few days later because they're trying to pad their ratings. Take consideration and read reviews by people who have been employed by LeverPoint longer than two years, anyone who says the office is empty by 5:30 and no one is here on the weekends doesn't understand the business or the multiple departments at LeverPoint at all. Working for a growing company can be exciting, but not at a toxic company that pins teams against each other, makes false promises in order to keep employees, and is led by managers and directors who have no business managing people. The technology is awful, internet is spotty, programs crash because the servers are overloaded and because the bottom line is so important, they no longer use the most popular PDF reader and editor, instead opting for a lesser more inefficient version. The CPA program is horrendous, and the company will hold you hostage for $3,000. Managers and Seniors tell their Staff not to sign up for it, so keep that in mind if you're choosing to go down that route. Rather sexist environment, hearing a manager state that they're apprehensive about hiring a woman because she recently just got married and may start a family soon and "that is something that they would have to consider . . . " is never a good look . . . Local colleges don't recommend their students to apply for jobs at LeverPoint because the pay is so poor, therefore prospective applicants don't have the best resumes because they can easily get a job somewhere else. The company doesn't care about that though, they're often just looking for warm bodies and maybe one out of ten employees to stick around for longer than two years.
