Toxic environment with poor training and favoritism
Pros
Only pro is working from home once a week.
Cons
Should have looked at Glassdoor before working here. How easy the interview process was should have also been a red flag; was offered the job a few days after first applying and interviewing with them. Training was some of the worst I’ve had; did not really learn how to “recruit”, trainer was condescending, rude, and disrespectful. He openly talked bad about other employees when they weren’t in the room, and then was friendly to their faces. Was thrown into full on recruiting and told to make a minimum of 50 calls per day, with an hour and 20 of talk time. Seems doable but not when you realize everyone in the system has been called hundreds of times and do not wanna talk! On top of this, HR is headed up by the daughter the owner of the company (nepotism!) and was dating a high level employee. Management clearly had favorites and if you weren’t one of them it was pretty well known. They often put employees on PIP plans but if you were one of their favorites the deadlines would be extended, if you weren’t a favorite they pretty much made it clear you were going to be terminated. Expectations were to work outside of salaried hours to “get ahead”, so had no real work life balance. I remember coming home most days exhausted, depressed, and anxious to have to go into work the next day not knowing if I was at risk of losing my job.
