      Pros

      Good relationship, high level of scientific knowledge, wide technical area, availability of high technology equipments and flexibility in working hours.

      Cons

      Relationship problem are triggered for meaningless reasons, huge amount of time needed to move forward: too many years are spent on the same project, people are not aware of industrial needs despite it's an applied research lab, PhD students find support only for the PhD thesis and NO support at all to find a job.

      Excellent scientific advise,, HUMAN management and teamwork spirit, what else do you want!

      Pros

      Self time-management, understanding and flexible management, strong teamwork spirit (really not a given in the academic world!!), scientific competencies at hand , in one of the best cities of France, possibility to conduct part of the research overseas!

      Cons

      You have to register with Edsys which is an administrative layer between the laboratory and the university you are enrolled in. Edsys will be the worst thing in your life as a PhD student, it's driven by a bunch of uptights that can make your life a misery (for instance, if you so much as want to write your thesis in English, my advice is not to let them know you actually speak french. If you're French, you'll have to look somewhere else, sorry bro ! )
