Needs some self reflection

Pros

Assembly knows their stuff, willing to learn, willing to put in the extra OT to get jobs done when they actually have the parts. Engineering team is getting better and better. Plenty of capacity to receive big meaningful orders. COO could be the one to turn it around and be successful, but will take some management change.

Cons

CEO and Plant Manager at Fabrication can't take any criticism. If you do, you quickly go on the list to be fired. Multiple good people are leaving because of this and it is quickly becoming apparent who is the main issue. If this is resolved, Kratos can be a great place, but in the meantime you have to walk on eggshells and whisper so nobody hears. It is the "boys club" at the top, and if you aren't in it, you have a hard time being listened to.

Terrible Organization

Pros

It has some decent products and possible growth. Decent salary.

Cons

Terrible organization. I was hopeful I’d be a place that one can contribute and help the company grow, but not the case here. Owner/CEO too involved in day to day operations and combine that with a sheet metal plant manager who is an awful leader/person, they were never on the same page. There are some good people on the assembly team, but stay AWAY from the sheet metal plant, they do not understand manufacturing. A lot of overtime hours, they 6-7 days a week, but it’s because they miss every deadline to customers due to lack of execution. Code Orange, it’s all fluff and don’t adhere to it, If you want a job that will take the time to nurture its employee and help you and them succeed, please look elsewhere.

Pros

I liked the projects. The production floor had some really neat people. The equipment was slick, too. It is kinda hard to think of much more than that, which is sad because I really wanted to stay here for the long term.

Cons

I hesitated to even write this review due to feeling like I would be black-balled in the industry but felt if I could help someone else not do what I did, that I would be doing the right thing. First let me say, this place is great if you keep your head down and don't ask questions. Ignorance is bliss, as the saying goes. Place is growing fast, which I found pretty thrilling in the beginning, but as time went on, I came to the conclusion that the growth was happening but not in any good ways. Towards the end of being there, I felt such distrust towards my coworkers and the owner. It got to the point where I dreaded every morning and disliked going there. Glad I left. The anxiety and stress this job gave me just wasn't worth it. Code Orange is never followed and really just a sham of a system. Owner uses it to his advantage when he wants to fire you or put you on a short list. Frankly, the other people ( a handful of them) worked together at other companies, so it is very cliquey, There are a few in particular that worked with the owner at other companies and are unkind people, No soul or professional ethics. Pride themselves on being part of the "OG" team which is a silly position. Those were some of the most talentless and lazy people in the group. Just thinking about how I was treated by them is upsetting. It felt like half the time I was in a hair salon with all the gossip and caddy behavior that happened. My advice is to stay away and I honestly mean it. I wish they would clean up their act and do better and treat people like human beings. In all sincerity and I am not just saying this but just to summarize how awful this experience was, I would rather work at a water treatment plant than even take a step in the Kratos parking lot again. My stress and soul could not handle it again!
