Benefits and pay are good, but promotions are poorly handled
Pros
Good benefits package. Competitive salaries.
Cons
The people who are promoted do not have adequate skills or education to successfully perform their new roles. This leads to resentment from their subordinates and overall decline in department performance. Those who do receive promotions are not provided with training to help them succeed in their new roles. They end up overwhelmed and frustrated. Kinross exhibits zero respect for the knowledge base of the subject matter experts with many years of successfully delivering quality results with low costs. They only promote those who tell a great story instead of the cold, hard facts. SOPs are non-existent unless you work in the processing plant. Human resources personnel are unresponsive and are about 20 years behind the times compared to the competition.
