Pros

The office is near the skytrain. Work with government clients.

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment. So disorganized, staff are constantly belittled and reprimanded in front of the office, projects were consistently underquoted against staff’s input, and then would inevitably go over hours. No work-life balance or understanding. The owner didn’t know what was going on and would occasionally throw staff members under the bus in front of clients. I witnessed many rage-quits and unprofessional firings during my time here . Benefits package was bleak, at the time, with weird coverage, bare minimum vacation days. Roles aren’t clearly defined or filled, so you often take on several roles at once without getting the compensation for it.

Pros

My internship ship with Kimbo Design worked wonders on my resume. Every employer I’ve approached since has been impressed that I worked for an agency that was so respected in the industry. Highly recommended to students looking for digital marketing experience.

Cons

Literally zero cons. I had the time of my life during my internship.

Pros

The people who work at KIMBO are some of the most genuine, loyal, caring people I’ve ever met. I greatly enjoyed my time at the company, not just for all of the amazing people I got to meet, but also everything I learned during my time here. I would have happily stayed on if I hadn’t had to relocate for my partner’s education.

Cons

The company is smaller, and there are cons that come with that: - The workload gets much heavier during high-client periods - Work/life balance gets affected by this - There are limited opportunities for promotions
