Pros

There are virtually no pros to working here. But if I had to pick one: You can gain experience for your resume, assuming you can last more than one year.

Cons

Where to begin? The environment is incredibly sexist -- if you're a woman, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. There is a history of harassment and systemic misogyny. The pay is absolutely abysmal. The work environment is neither creative nor dynamic. You do not get much time off. There is a reason the turnaround here is so high. Trust me.

I'd steer clear, as much as I don't want to say it

Pros

relaxed office environment some nice people, for the most part donuts when people depart the company or for birthdays

Cons

Very little vacation time—and when you do take one, you’re harassed during it. Harassment is ignored or outright denied. Editors can be “different” or a tad quirky, which is fine, but HR shouldn’t allow anyone to be stalked outside the office or followed into the bathroom by coworkers. A 1% to 2% cost of living increase per year, at a maximum. No career advancement whatsoever. Most of the negative reviews pertaining to Newtown Square office hold a lot of weight. These come from the event planners—and they were honestly a really good bunch and very hard working. Even among the editors, turnover was high. Bad employees—employees who harassed others, specifically, were not reprimanded. The office as a whole is chaotic. You’ll be harassed with emails during the evening, and even while on vacation. Want to get your car inspected? Expect a weird email to you implying that there was no need to work from home that day. Management will ignore requests for optimization, and you will be questioned by management for doing things to their specifications. If you must, get some experience and get out.
