      Good Culture in the firm but not in the research team

      A firm with good culture and good people (majority) A reputable firm within Australian private wealth space The firm is backed by NAB

      Cons

      Company values do not live in the research team. Culture is toxic - bullying and intimidation are displayed by one of the Heads towards the equity analysts. She does not value or just simply ignore the analyst's opinion - it is either her way or the highway. Beyond her employees, she has been treating and speaking to the advisers' assistants in a condescending manner. Shocking behaviour!

      Working with some very intelligent and nice people

      Cons

      Management style can be personal based and thus similar to bullying especially if you are from a minority culture. Racism used to move people out through performance management. Then others move up via preferential treatment. Very smart management, but not validated by any management studies in Australia or anywhere else in the world.

      Maybe a semi-decent brand name but that's about it.

      Cons

      - Extremely toxic culture within the Melbourne Advice Team who use the Analysts as pawns to their own success. - Poor pay - No respect for its employees - Promotions given based on connections rather than merit
