Pros

Some positions are allowed to work remotely, decent benefits, PTO/sick time combined, 401k of 3% match, wellness program with paid gym membership

Cons

Hard to have a work/life balance because everyone is doing multiple jobs. Exhaustion due to working 60+ hours a week, which is the norm here. Low team morale due to unrealistic expectations and regular layoffs and high turnover. Aloof uncaring managers. Everyone is an island. Too busy to take PTO. Not set up well to succeed here.

J5 Infrastructure Partners Response

I appreciate your feedback and am sorry you didn't enjoy your experience at J5. We indeed work hard but our senior leaders and I always stress that a good work life balance is crucial for all of our people. One example is our strong company wellness program that promotes healthy lifestyles by providing cost reimbursements to employees for gym memberships, athletic gear, or entry fees to local sporting events (like my favorite, triathlons!). As for "uncaring managers", I sure wish any negative experience you had was brought to my attention as I never liked working under someone like that and certainly don't want anyone at J5 to have a manager like that. So, I would have addressed that personally. For sure, the wireless space is a busy, fast paced, and stressful industry but it can also be fun, challenging, and rewarding when we are collectively kicking butt as a cohesive and supportive team. Indeed, it's that kind of culture at J5 that has resulted in four years of year over year growth and improved results. John Barker, CEO

Pros

This company is a great addition to the greedy, disorganized, monster that is telecom.

Cons

They could do a better job of appreciating their employees and supporting them. Telecom has become a disorganized mess of disrespectful people whose only purpose is to build eyesores for monetary gain. It is a valuable and necessary aspect to our current state of human life and is truly connecting the world in amazing ways. I just wish they cared more about the impact these towers have on the environment, and spent more time designing sites that actually look decent. Again, I wish the company would have paid more attention to the horrible work loads and high pressure that they put their people under.
