Itron is by far the worst employer I ever had, that is saying a lot as I have worked in different multinationals for more than 8 years. Here is my issues with the company:
-The environment is extremely toxic meaning: people gossiping, inventing stories about your private life, derogatory comments on you, color,or religion which made very uncomfortable at times.
-If you work and have ambition too bad for you. You will be given extra workload, because no one is management will bother tell your co-workers to work.
-Don't expect a pay raise or a voucher it will be nearly impossible for common folks to ever go above and beyond even if you are.
-There are no processes in place, nobody in management seems to know what they are doing. They don't respect the employees and only look after themselves and at times will take your accomplishments for them which defies the purpose of being a manager....if your team mates do great give them the praise.
-There's absolutely no transparency and no communication from management.
-You will not get train on anything, and after a while you will actually ask yourself if there was anything to learn from the job.
-Prepare to be challenged on nothing, and from time to time management will take KPIs which you never knew existed and goals which were never communicated out of their hat.
-This company is like a ship which is sinking but the smartest most ambitious are the ones jumping for the life boat.
-That said if you just want to have a job with an OK pay (absolutely no judgement from me ) then you should go for it, there are close to no standards and you might just get on very well with doing the bare minimum. It all depends what your goals are.
Just one word to resume all of this : Dysfunctional.
