Pros

Great teammates, people who genuinely care about the work they're doing

Cons

A PE firm took ownership of the company earlier this year and it's been a mess ever since. No company culture, leadership frazzled and unable to provide directions to employees, layoffs that don't make sense, and a general feeling of unease and disconnectedness among employees

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, we appreciate your transparency. We agree that we have a great group of people who care about our customers and each other. We recently rolled out our new operating principles, that underscore the importance of our team in thriving together, taking ownership, showing integrity, communicating transparently and having fun. In January 2024 as our leaders came together to think about the next stage of growth for our company, it was the right time to think about InvoiceCloud and its sister company, SimplePractice as stand-alone businesses to better serve our unique customer bases. Our investor, Vista Equity Partners an industry leader in the technology SAAS space believes in our ability to continue to provide best in class service to our customers and to continue to expand our digital and physical footprint. We recognize that this has been a period of change and have been committed to being transparent, rolling out monthly InvoiceCloud All Hand meetings where team members can submit questions to leadership anonymously ahead of the meeting. We are also creating space in individual team meetings to hear directly from Kevin O’Brien, our CEO. We also hope that our InvoiceCloud relaunch we shared with teams in September will continue to help guide our teams as we plan for 2025 and beyond. We also encourage you to contact your managers and leadership teams if you feel your questions are not being addressed. You can also always reach out to hr@invoicecloud.com directly.

Pros

This once was a great culture to work in. Sales and SDRs hit quota, Alliances brought in new partners, and leadership cared about their employees. Some of these people are still at IC and they're great to work with. The company is profitable and will continue to grow, no matter how poorly Sales does.

Cons

This is your warning to stay away until the dust settles. Leadership has made it clear that if you hit your numbers, if you're liked and respected by your peers, and if you're committed to the org, you might still lose your job. Yes, it's that bad. The new CSO publicly praises employees for buying him expensive alcohol while missing his number every quarter. Turnover is high. Alliances are losing more partners than they're signing, and the addressable market is shrinking. The product no longer has a significant competitive advantage and some partners are launching highly competitive products. True Enterprise orgs won't buy since IC lacks standard functionality. New hires feel like they've been duped. The high ratings are for a company that no longer exists, unfortunately.

We understand that our Go-To-Market motion has changed and that some may feel the push for higher performance. Our new leader is focused on driving results and setting clear expectations for success, which is essential for our upmarket growth in our space. While this shift may feel challenging, it’s part of a broader effort to raise the bar and ensure our sales teams are equipped to meet their goals. We are committed to supporting every team member through this transition and believe that, together, we can achieve even greater success. We encourage all managers and individual team members to have regular 1:1s and regularly discuss performance. Performance should never come as a surprise. We are also really excited about the recent hiring of our Sales Enablement team to help all new hires ramp successfully.
