Pros

Imagine collaborative teamwork and professionalism. Imagine functional processes and information to manage a business. Imagine excellent thought and creativity. Imagine a coherent strategy. Keep imagining. This doesn’t happen at Infoblox.

Cons

Infoblox has B and C players in leadership positions. Their dismal track record continues. The results and outlook were totally predictable. You have been warned.

I don’t recall the God days, but they sound great! I would have liked to have been here during that time Thanks for your feedback. Hopefully you brought some of your concerns to your management chain or human resources. Best of luck to you in the future.

Used to be great, not good now.

Pros

Flexible hours. There are still some talents remain, but not for long.

Cons

There are too many problems and it is getting worse everyday. 1) New CEO and executives did nothing good for the company. Instead, they focus on cost cutting and layoff to make it looking good for selling for quick money in their pocket. 2) After acquired by Vista, there is only base salary and non-guaranteed performance bonus for most employees. There are retention bonus for some employees, but only apply to "important" people in the ring. To retain employees, management are trying to sell the idea of making it fun and interesting place to work, great culture and provide opportunity to grow etc. They never tell the truth about how much money each of them would get as part of the retention bonus. 3) Can't trust the management starting from the top. Some management that are hired in the last few years are less talented. They don't know how to manage experienced people. They are good at pleasing their boss. They simply don't want others to be more visible than them. They tend to praise people in their circle and try to isolate others. As a result, some talented employees couldn't take it any longer and quit. 4) More layoff is coming. 5) Talented employees are leaving for better opportunity. There is no chance to compete with multiple good offers. 6) No matter how hard you work, your boss will get all the credits and be promoted first. Your boss may be promoted twice before your turn. This is the reality at Infoblox and this is a joking topic among the employees. Wondering if upper management knows or they simply don't care.

Depressing in Santa Clara

Pros

Be careful to note where the reviews are coming from. Folks in Tacoma are thankful to find a high-tech job close to home. Santa Clara employees are leaving and it's a depressing place to work. Good work/life balance in most departments.

Cons

Depressing to work there. "Who quit this week?" is a common refrain. Best people are finding new jobs and all of them are looking. Even the CFO is looking- he interviewed at another company but did not get the job. Layoffs every 6 months. Moving from 2 buildings into one means cramped quarters. CEO signaled in an email that Santa Clara will not be the long-term location for HQ. Owned by Private Equity, so no stock options/RSUs or ESPP reduces total compensation.

Thank you for your feedback on the Santa Clara location. With all the perks and regularly scheduled on-site activities around the office (wellness days, Farmer’s Markets, BBQs, fitness trainers, chair massages, and complimentary breakfasts), we try hard to invest in our employee’s happiness and overall health. The business decision to relocate some jobs was hard on our employees in Santa Clara, which we recognize. Although we have relocated some job functions to Tacoma, WA, we absolutely plan to keep our company headquartered in Silicon Valley. We take pride in our company value of transparency and have been nothing but honest as these decisions were made.
