Pros

Overall, my experience at Infinity Marketing was very positive. However, experiences vary based on department, role, and assigned account(s). I would definitely recommend the company to young people beginning their careers or those who want to break into advertising (with a disclaimer that hours are generally long and pay generally low). Pros: * In general, owner and managers seem to genuinely care about employees. * Cheap health insurance (employee's nearly all covered). * Generous 401k. * Free cell phone service if on company plan, monthly stipend if not. * Monthly luncheons with option to leave early after. * Great parties (the Christmas party, in particular), access to free tickets (baseball, concerts, etc). * Friendly people, generally laidback atmosphere. Lots of long-lasting friendships outside the office. * Unlike EP, layoffs rare to non-existent. If your main client leaves, Infinity will assign you to another instead of showing you the door.

Cons

* *Long hours, low pay, can be very stressful** * High turn-over (see first bullet). * Some abusive clients (Comcast) * Unrealistic pressure to complete everything quickly, cheaply, and perfectly. Code word: "nimble". * At times, it seems management is actively trying to lose money when wooing new clients. * Depending on position, there's often no room for advancement unless you want to be a (very overloaded) project manager. * Family members managing family members. This leads to employees feeling unable to bring up issues because of family ties. *Some weirdness between upstairs (media planning and buying) and downstairs (creative and production).

Pros

*the employees are generally great *company luncheons *training opportunities *some benefits - healthcare and matching 401k that are hard to find that good anywhere else *opportunities to advance *very real time immersion and quick learning opportunities

Cons

*upper management as a whole *rampant negativity with no support from immediate supervisors *very quick to punish and very slow to recognize *absolutely NO HR at all - person in charge is not professional or appropriate *very long hours with no compensation *low pay *lack of respect for employees as people *clear favoritism - sometimes hire people in order to get (or keep) a client *CEO has moments of being very inappropriate *feedback comes in scattered and never uniform so what you do for this project will almost certainly be wrong for other projects

Pros

They spent time training new hires. They have good benefits for regular employees. Resume builder

Cons

Favoritism is a big issue for newbies. If they don’t like you, they will find ways for you to resign. Very high turnover, people don’t stay there long. One of the top best places to work is not really true. Employees are asked to fill out the same survey “employee of the year” every year (obviously you can’t say something bad coz the HR will know you). Micromanaging superiors. Long and unnecessary frequent meetings. Low pay

We are sorry that your overall experience here was not up to your expectations! It is wonderful to hear that you found the training and work experience valuable. It is important to clarify that all anonymous surveys that we utilize are exactly that; anonymous. We deeply value the more direct feedback that anonymous surveys provide, and our leadership team takes our survey results every year and identifies ways we can continue to improve while remaining true to the areas that our employees celebrate. There has not been a single time that there has been any retaliation or negative reaction to a survey result. If you would like to discuss this in any more detail, we would welcome you to reach out to our Director of Organizational Development to talk further! Again, feedback is always welcomed and encouraged. Thank you for your review!
