Pros

Beautiful office with game/bean bag room, snacks, colorful walls, and whiteboard walls to draw out your ideas. Inbound marketing is a great methodology and can be successful when implemented correctly. This company has the potential to improve.

Cons

Work-life balance does not exist here. You are rewarded for coming in early/staying late/working on the weekends. Company values are great, but are not put into action in real life. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Management tells you one thing one day, a different thing the next day. There is no rhyme or reason to their methods of reviews, rewards, and criticism. They will tell you you're doing amazing in a review and the next week they'll tell you you're doing horrible. If you don't make this job your life, you are deemed not passionate. No benefits for this job besides 401k. Clients of this company are frequently dissatisfied with the work they are delivered and are often blamed for voicing their complaints and objections.

This is an interesting point of view. Our employees are rewarded for getting their work done on time and solving for the customer. We work very hard to ensure that employees are not overworked and are a good fit. There IS a rhyme and reason for reviews and rewards and they are structured individually for each team member & position. We all have things to work on, some can take constructive criticisms and improve, others rebel and become spiteful. As a leader & owner, if I feel like another employee is doing a great job, they will be rewarded, if there is a criticism, we will have a conversation about how to improve. Overall we're very transparent and sometimes things don't work out and that's ok.

Pros

Great place for first job.

Cons

No ROI for clients. Lots of sweet talk without "remarkable" results.

This doesn't sound like it is an actual employee as we don't have anyone who's first job was here at Impulse Creative

Overworked staff and management

Pros

Unlimited PTO, innovative ideas, extremely hard working employees. I know the CEO wants to have a good company with happy employees, and I genuinely believe they can, but they need to stop overlooking major issues and deprioritizing employee morale and health (including manager morale and health)

Cons

Everyone was absurdly overworked, including management. One major leader would regularly say "I'm literally dying" as she spoke about her workload, another was clocking an insane number of hours every week, and another had to step down from a promotion after being completely overwhelmed with tasks and responsibilities. The daily grind workers and really dedicated and give 100% (they do extensive screening to only hire people like this), but when they burn out and ask for help, nobody is able to give it. In addition, projects were often late and had bugs due to not enough testing time, so it seemed like clients were continuously upset, some even getting to the point of being verbally abusive to the staff. Everyone was working so hard all the time, even filling in for staffing shortages and self-teaching skills so they could help with projects outside their role, but there simply was too much work and not enough staff, so the dedication rarely paid off. No matter how hard you tried, it always felt like you were doing terrible. Pay is not terrible, but not equal to the amount of skill and time required (multiple people left for higher-paying jobs). Promotions happened but the path towards them was very unclear.
