      Chaotic and Poor Leadership at the Very Top

      Fantastic people committed to the mission.

      Cons

      CEO constantly goes after the shiny objects with no strategic plan, prioritization, or focus. There is no transparency from leadership and one wonders if the board is aware of all that is going badly.

      Pros

      Most of the chiefs and their teams are amazing people doing good work.

      Cons

      The merger with ASCD ruined this organization. One year in, there is still no name, no business plan, and no clear direction. Richard Culatta is a toxic leader who talks a good game but doesn't know how to run an organization. He fires people who disagree with him and has consistently promoted only white people. People are burnt out and dropping like flies. Stay away.

      Great people who care about education. Pretty flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Poor leadership with secretive decision-making process makes every work day chaotic and stressful. No prioritization of projects — everything is piled on top even though we don’t have enough people to keep up with the work. CEO approval rating can't be accurate given how things are run. I have heard that there is an ISTE board of directors -- do they know what's going on under the hood???
