- Pay is abysmal and management are of the opinion that staff shouldn’t discuss salaries because it shows this - Management don’t care about losing staff, and would actually opt to force people out of jobs if they don’t fit the Howden mould - Howden deem other insurance companies / brokers as “nobody companies” and let their overinflated egos get in the way of staff leaving for other opportunities - Lots of middle managers who can’t manage their teams and allow bullies to treat other colleagues badly

Lack of management support/ not trained. No communication and not open to new ideas.

Systems capabilities are limited though evolving

Fast growth outpaces budgets, staff, tools, leading to strain and burnout

Very non supportive management. Not visible or effective. Some cynical and disengenuous colleagues who have an over inflated opinion of themselves.
