Pros

I was fortunate to work with a solid team, because many others were clearly struggling in silence.

Cons

- The pay is unbelievably low for a position in a bank. - Even with solid experience in the same field, you are given the same compensation as someone just starting. - The work pulls a heavy toll and leaves you worn down day after day. - You must stay cautious around certain colleagues, since kindness is far from guaranteed in this place.

Pros

Decent benefits, pay is just alright but still underwhelming.

Cons

One area is still working Saturdays while the entire company eliminated Saturday banking years ago. Systems are inefficient and have an excessive amount of issues. The company makes huge changes and puts those changes in notion before they have the details of those changes ironed out. Nothing is ever consistent and it could take half of the year or more to figure out details surrounding their changes or goals. The company leave a vibe of lack of concern for employees and little to no room for advancement.

Pros

There are many talented and genuinely good people who care about doing the right thing for clients and colleagues. Some teams are collaborative, and a few leaders truly want to see the organization move forward.

Cons

The bank is stuck in the past with limited forward-thinking leadership. Diversity and inclusion are often discussed but not reflected in executive or senior management ranks. It's performative. Look across the executives and senior management and you will notice a pattern. Great ideas often go unheard, and decisions are made without strong data analysis to support them. Pay is below market, and benefits are average compared to peers. Some people in leadership are not strategic thinkers. They get too many passes with no accountability taken. There is a lack of modern understanding of how businesses operates. Technology and processes are outdated. Too many people that need to be retired already hindering the growth of the bank. Several managers can't lead. Everyone can't be in management.
